Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ABC Tunnel browser extension for Google Chrome and the website at abc-tunnel.com. It does not cover any third-party website you visit while the extension is running.

ABC Tunnel is a browser extension that routes Chrome traffic through a proxy tunnel. It is not a system-wide VPN and does not handle traffic from other browsers or native applications on your device.

ABC Tunnel does not offer or require user accounts. There is no registration, no email address, no password, and no profile. Because we never ask who you are, we hold no identity records to attach activity to.

The following are stored locally in your browser profile and are never transmitted to us:

• Your per-site routing rules and any pinned exit selection.
• Extension preferences, such as whether Smart Connect is enabled.
• The most recent exit-check result shown in the popup.

Removing the extension removes this data with it.

To route a request, our exit servers necessarily process the connection in transit — that is how any proxy works. We do not retain browsing histories, build per-user activity profiles, or sell or share traffic data with advertisers or data brokers.

Limited, transient operational data may be processed to keep the service running and to defend it against abuse, for example aggregate load and error counts used for capacity and reliability. This information is not used to identify individual users.

Content you send over connections that are already encrypted end-to-end (HTTPS) is not readable by us in transit.

If the extension encounters an error, it may report anonymised diagnostic information such as an error type and the extension version. These reports do not contain URLs you visited, page content, or identifiers we can trace back to you.

• We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
• We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the extension.
• We do not inject ads, affiliate links, or scripts into the pages you visit.
• We do not read or store the content of the pages you browse.

The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. Google collects its own installation and usage statistics under its own terms, which we neither control nor receive on an individual basis.

This website may set a cookie to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice. That is a local preference and is not used to track you across sites.

Because we do not maintain user accounts or browsing records, there is no per-user archive to retain. Aggregate operational counters are kept only as long as they are useful for reliability work, and diagnostic reports are processed and discarded rather than stored against a user.

ABC Tunnel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The extension requires no account and gathers no personal details, so there is no mechanism through which a child’s personal information would be collected.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data held about you. Because ABC Tunnel operates without accounts, in most cases we simply hold no personal data responsive to such a request — and we will tell you so plainly.

You can end all routing immediately at any time by disabling or uninstalling the extension.

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, noted in an extension update.
